Edible Orchids

The genus Dendrobium is famous as food-orchid. Dendrobium hybrid (bigibbum type) flowers are sold as edible decorations for food. Mature canes of many “soft-cane” dendrobiums are being stir fried in many Asian countries, also being used for making sauses in Japan and Singapore.
